Put the Vacuum Back
This mod makes Sims return vacuum cleaners after use and allows one vacuum to be shared across multiple floors.

Put the Vacuum Back by Danaëlla improves vacuuming gameplay in The Sims 4 by making Sims return their vacuum cleaners to their original locations after use. Instead of leaving the appliance in their personal inventory, Sims automatically put it away once they finish cleaning.

The mod works with both upright and handheld vacuums and remembers where each appliance was originally placed. When a Sim finishes vacuuming, they walk back to its saved location and return it. If the original spot is no longer available or the return interaction is cancelled, the vacuum simply remains in the Sim's inventory.

Another useful feature allows Sims to use a single vacuum cleaner across multiple floors. They can find the nearest available vacuum, pick it up, and carry it upstairs or downstairs before starting to clean.

The mod also improves the game's vacuuming system by helping Sims find suitable locations for cleaning. It can identify valid vacuuming spots on different floors and guide Sims to those areas when the game attempts to send them to an unsuitable location. A small generated text file remembers previously successful vacuuming locations, helping the mod prioritize these spots during future cleaning sessions.

Put the Vacuum Back is fully compatible with Danaëlla's Clean Up Everything mod. When both are installed, the vacuum remains available throughout a complete cleaning session and is returned to its original location once all cleaning tasks are finished.

The Sims 4: Bust the Dust Kit is required. The mod also requires Script Mods to be enabled, and its script file must be no more than one folder deep inside the Mods folder. Keep the generated danaella_PutTheVacuumBack_places.txt file in your Mods folder to preserve previously learned vacuuming locations.

This small quality-of-life mod is ideal for players who want more convenient vacuuming, organized household objects, and fewer unnecessary items left in their Sims' inventories.
