Let's Move In Together
This mod lets Sims create new households, customize moving arrangements, and experience relationship-based moodlets.

Let's Move In Together by Danaëlla adds a new social interaction to The Sims 4 that allows two or more Sims to leave their current households and establish a new home together, all without having to interrupt gameplay and manually manage household changes.

By clicking on another Sim and selecting Ask to Move In Together, players can propose starting a new household. Once the proposal is accepted, they can choose which additional Sims and pets from both households will move, as well as how many Simoleons each household member will bring along. A summary screen allows players to review their choices before confirming the move.

The new household can be placed into a residential lot immediately or saved for later through Manage Households. The mod also includes safeguards to prevent children or pets from being left behind without another Sim to care for them. If a proposal is declined, players must wait 48 Sim hours before asking the same Sim again.

Custom Acceptance Settings

The mod offers three acceptance modes that can be changed directly in-game through the mailbox cheat menu:

Guaranteed: The other Sim always accepts, regardless of their relationship with the proposing Sim. Even Sims who dislike each other can become roommates.

Can Refuse: Uses friendship and mood requirements similar to the game's existing Ask to Join Household interaction. Refusals result in a small friendship decrease.

Can Refuse Plus: Considers additional factors, including relationship levels, selected personality traits, romantic compatibility, mood, and a small element of chance. Rejections can have a greater impact on relationships.

These settings can be changed at any time, apply immediately, and are saved separately for each game save.

Custom Moodlets

Let's Move In Together includes 17 custom moodlets reflecting the different reactions Sims can have toward moving into a new household. Their responses depend on their relationship, whether they proposed or accepted the move, and whether they are leaving or staying behind.

Moving in with a romantic partner, close friend, or family member can create positive emotions, while sharing a home with someone they dislike may produce a less enthusiastic reaction. Sims who remain in the original household also receive moodlets based on their relationship with those who moved away.

Optional Teen Add-on

An optional add-on allows Teen Sims to use the Ask to Move In Together interaction. With it installed, Teens can invite other Teens or Adults to move in together, and Adults can also make the proposal to Teens. The interaction follows whichever acceptance setting is currently selected.

Let's Move In Together is Base Game Compatible and does not require additional expansion packs or external libraries. The optional Teen add-on is available separately. Custom Content and Script Mods must be enabled, and the mod's script file should not be placed more than one folder deep inside the Mods folder.

Let's Move In Together is a useful gameplay enhancement for players who enjoy family storytelling, romantic relationships, roommate scenarios, and generational gameplay. It makes creating new households a more natural part of everyday Sim interactions.
