Wash Face and Sanitize Hands by Simkatu adds a few practical self-care interactions to The Sims 4. Sims can wash their faces at sinks and use hand sanitizer through either a portable bottle or a wall-mounted dispenser.

The mod is Base Game compatible and requires the Lot 51 Core Library.

Wash Face

Teen Sims through elders can use the new Wash Face interaction from a sink or a custom facial cleanser object. The cleanser comes in multiple swatches and can also be placed in a Sim's inventory to change the appearance used during the animation.

Washing the face increases Hygiene, provides a small Energy boost, and gives a custom buff. For players with High School Years, the interaction can also clear teen acne, while Parenthood players can have teen Sims gain Responsibility from the activity. It also removes makeup applied at a vanity.

The interaction can happen autonomously when Hygiene is low or during the morning routine, provided the Sim does not have the Slob trait.

Portable Hand Sanitizer

Children through elders can use the portable sanitizer after purchasing it and placing it in their inventory. It improves Hygiene and provides a custom buff.

A useful social option also allows Sims to offer their hand sanitizer to another Sim, adding a small cooperative interaction to everyday gameplay.

Wall Sanitizer Dispenser

The mod also makes a wall-mounted sanitizer dispenser functional. Children through elders can use it to improve Hygiene, with the same general effects and autonomy as the portable sanitizer.

Players who own Get to Work can use the original decorative dispenser from that pack, while a separate Base Game version is available for players without the expansion.

Optional Add-ons

The creator provides separate files depending on which parts of the mod you want to use. There is an optional computer-purchase add-on for buying the new items, while the wall dispenser has separate versions depending on whether Get to Work is installed.
