Happy Haunts by ChippedSim is an overhaul mod for The Sims 4 that expands cemetery and grieving gameplay, with a focus on making cemeteries feel more distinctive during the day and night. Designed to work with the Life & Death expansion, the mod combines realistic grieving elements with supernatural gameplay and a touch of Sims-style humor.
The mod gives cemeteries new moodlets based on a Sim's traits, occult status, and the time of day. It also reworks visitor schedules so mourners primarily visit during the day, while ghosts appear at night. When occupied graves are placed on a cemetery lot, ghosts of Sims buried there can spawn directly from their graves, while mourners may include Sims who knew the deceased.

Happy Haunts also adds cemetery customization options, including a dedicated arch, decorative signs, the ability to select a cemetery keeper, and an interaction for quickly locating graves on the lot. At night, the Witching Hour transforms the cemetery with effects such as lightning, flickering lights, darkness, fog, and wandering ghosts. Sims may react differently depending on their personalities, making nighttime cemetery visits either eerie or entertaining.
