Labeled Rental Units is a lightweight script mod designed to improve the quality-of-life when managing rental units in apartments or multi-unit properties (introduced in the For Rent expansion). It addresses the common issue where clicking “Visit Unit” yields no info on which unit you're interacting with—forcing you to remember by memory.
What It Adds
- Household Labels: If a unit is occupied, your interaction menu will read something like "Visit Linh’s Unit," making it immediately clear who lives there.
- Address Labels: If the unit is empty, the label instead shows its address—e.g., "Visit Unoccupied 13C Plumbob Place Unit."
- Icon Update: The "Visit Unit" interaction now features a door icon instead of the default car icon for clarity.
Note: This labeling appears when clicking on the empty space representing the unit—rather than on the door object. The door itself doesn’t yet display this feature, but that may be added in future updates.
Why It's Useful
This mod significantly improves navigation within rental lots by removing guesswork. You’ll no longer have to remember which unit corresponds to which family or address, making gameplay less confusing and more intuitive.
