How To Find Broken Mods In Your Game

gameiterator.com

If you like using mods in your game like me that you have tons of it in your game, finding which ones are broken after a game update can be quite a challenge.

Good thing there is a mod for that!

I am referring to Better Exceptions Mod by TwistedMexi.

This mod scans your game and gives a full and detailed report of mods that are possibly broken or outdated with recommendations of what to do with them. It also finds duplicate files that may be affecting your game as well.

Here's how you can get this mod and how to use it in your game.

Another way to find broken / outdated mods/CCs is the 50/50 Cleaning Method.  Here's how to do it:

1) Take out half of your mods and place them in your desktop or somewhere safe;
2) Delete the localthumbcache.package file from The Sims 4 folder, then run your game and observe.

If the problem is gone, then you know the problematic file is in the half of your custom content that you took out.

If the issue persists, go take out the other half of what's left in your Mods folder, delete the localthumbcache.package file again, load up your game and observe.

Just repeat the process until you find the culprit.
