How To Enable Mods And Custom Content

This is a simple guide for those who are new to using Mods or Custom Contents (CCs) and do not know how to enable them in their game.

As a precautionary measure, I would suggest that you backup your user data before putting and enabling Mods and Custom Contents in your game and take note of the following:

 * Putting mods or CCs into your game can cause bugs/errors in your game.  Should you encounter bugs or errors, follow this troubleshooting guide to help you resolve your issue.

* You are supposed to delete the “localthumbcache.package” file out of your folder every time you add or remove mods.  This is to ensure that the changes you have made are applied and that old cache files don't cause issues in your game.

* When there is a game update, it is recommended that you remove your mods and CCs to avoid your saves getting corrupted.

So, here's how to enable Mods and Custom Content in The Sims 4:

With your game running, go to Options Menu.

And then click on Game Options:

Select "Other" and make sure those 2 boxes are ticked:

You will need to restart your game for the changes to take effect and that's it! 😊😊😊

Just uncheck them when you need to disable your mods.

If your mods keep getting disabled repeatedly, try the suggestions here.

Be sure to follow safety precautions on using Mods and Custom Contents so you can enjoy a smooth game made more fun and realistic by Mods and Custom Contents you added!

Happy simming! 😊😊😊
