Queue Guard
Improve Sim autonomy with Queue Guard, a Base Game-compatible utility that detects interaction loops and temporarily blocks repeated actions.

Queue Guard by tyjokr is a utility mod for The Sims 4 designed to help prevent Sims from getting stuck repeatedly attempting the same autonomous interaction. When an action fails because of an unreachable object, tuning issue, or hidden mod conflict, Sims may keep adding the same action to their queue instead of moving on. Queue Guard detects this behavior and temporarily prevents the repeated action.

The mod activates when the same autonomous interaction is queued five times within 10 in-game minutes. It then removes the duplicate actions already in the Sim's queue and blocks autonomy from choosing that interaction again for 15 in-game minutes. Once the cooldown expires, the action can be selected autonomously again. If the repeated behavior returns, the blocking period doubles each time, up to a maximum of four in-game hours.

By reducing repeated failed interactions, Queue Guard can help limit stuck Sims and performance stutters, especially on busy lots with large households, clubs, festivals, and crowded venues. It also keeps a diagnostic log of each correction, which can help players investigate recurring autonomy problems.

Players can optionally enable in-game notifications by opening the cheat console and entering queueguard notify. This makes it easier to see when the mod intervenes instead of relying solely on the log file.

Queue Guard is Base Game Compatible and uses a script file without tuning overrides, so it is designed to work alongside most other mods. It is also compatible with tools such as Simulation Timeline Unclogger and Interaction Queue Extender. For proper installation, place the script mod no more than one folder deep inside the Mods folder.

Queue Guard is a useful performance and autonomy utility for players who want fewer repeated actions, less queue clutter, and more reliable Sim behavior. It helps manage one specific cause of stuck Sims, although it cannot fix every routing, autonomy, or performance issue.
