Published Books Library
This mod lets Sims buy published books, earn royalties, track sales, and unlock bestseller achievements.

Published Books Library by LittleUnicorn gives your Sims' published books a second life in The Sims 4. Instead of losing access to a book after publishing it, Sims can now find and purchase copies of previously published works through a shared catalogue available at bookcases throughout the world.

Every book published by a Sim in your save is automatically added to the library, whether it was self-published or submitted to a publisher. By selecting Published Books… on any bookcase, Sims can browse available titles, view their covers and descriptions, check the author's name, and purchase a copy to keep in their inventory.

Purchased books retain the original title, description, author, genre, and quality. Their prices are based on half the book's original value, with a minimum cost of §10. The catalogue also tracks sales and displays popular titles first, making it easier to discover successful books.

The mod introduces a royalty system for these additional sales. Whenever a Sim from another household purchases a copy, the original author's household earns royalties equal to half the sale price. Once a book sells five copies, it earns a Bestseller! badge, and its author receives a notification celebrating the achievement.

Each save file maintains its own book catalogue, which is preserved alongside the game's save data. This allows players to continue building their Sims' literary collections across sessions and supported save operations.

Published Books Library is Base Game Compatible and does not require any additional packs, libraries, or dependency mods. However, only books published after installation can be recorded; the mod cannot recover titles that the game removed before it was installed. Script Mods must be enabled for it to function.

This mod is ideal for players who enjoy writing, collecting books, and building storytelling around their Sims' literary careers. It adds another layer to the publishing system by allowing original works to circulate throughout the world while rewarding authors for their continued success.
