Give Sims more expressive mood labels with Emotion Names Restored, featuring 12 restored emotions and support for all 18 game languages.
Emotion Names Restored by tyjokr brings back 12 original emotion names hidden in The Sims 4's game files. Instead of using generic “Very” mood labels, the mod restores the more specific names that were originally intended for stronger emotional states, making Sims' moods more expressive and descriptive.
The mod updates 12 emotions, including Furious, Fearless, Pumped, Passionate, In the Zone, Elated, Silly, Imaginative, Stressed, Miserable, Depressed, and Humiliated. It also updates their tooltip descriptions to better reflect the original intended meaning of each emotion.
For example, “Very Angry” becomes Furious, “Very Focused” becomes In the Zone, and “Very Happy” becomes Elated. These small changes give the mood system more personality while keeping the familiar gameplay mechanics intact.
The mod supports all 18 languages available in The Sims 4. The translations are based on strings found in the game's files, with corrections made where some original entries contained translation errors or mismatched terms.
Emotion Names Restored is Base Game Compatible and does not add new gameplay mechanics or require additional packs. It is a lightweight text modification that changes emotion names and their descriptions, making it a simple addition for players who prefer more distinctive mood labels.
The mod may conflict with other mods that modify the same emotion names or tooltip descriptions, so check compatibility if you use other mood-related UI or text replacements.
