A new The Sims 4 update brings fresh content for children and toddlers alongside a large collection of bug fixes and gameplay improvements. The latest patch includes 95+ fixes and improvements, covering Sim autonomy, relationships, infant gameplay, routing, stability, and other technical issues.
Alongside the fixes, players can also explore new Create-a-Sim items, Build/Buy objects, Styled Looks, and Gallery Sims designed around younger Sims.
New Kids and Toddler Content
The latest free content release gives players more ways to customize children and toddlers, from their appearance to their bedrooms.
New Create-a-Sim Items
Children receive six new CAS items, including a new hairstyle with a ponytail and bangs. Several existing hairstyles have also been adapted for children, providing additional options when creating younger Sims.
Toddlers also receive three new CAS items, giving them more clothing and styling choices.
Players can further customize these new additions through six new Styled Looks, which provide ready-made outfits without requiring players to build each look from scratch.
New Build/Buy Items
Young Sims can also benefit from new furniture and decorative options. The update introduces eight new Build/Buy items aimed at children's spaces.
These objects can be used to create bedrooms, study areas, play spaces, and other areas designed specifically for younger Sims.
A new Base Game Styled Room is also included, giving players a convenient starting point for creating a new room.
New Gallery Sims
Seven new Sims are also available through the The Sims 4 Gallery.
The new additions include:
- 4 children
- 2 toddlers
- 1 elder Sim
Players can add them to their households, incorporate them into existing saves, or use them as inspiration for their own Sims and families.
The Sims 4 Patch Adds 95+ Fixes and Improvements
Beyond the new content, this patch focuses heavily on fixing gameplay problems and improving the way Sims behave.
Improved Sim Autonomy and Behavior
Several changes make everyday Sim behavior feel more natural.
Sims can now make eye contact during conversations, helping interactions feel more responsive and realistic.
Another adjustment affects bathroom behavior. After using the toilet, Sims will now use the sink closest to the toilet when one is available, reducing unnecessary movement around the room.
The patch also includes additional improvements to Sim autonomy and relationships.
Infant Gameplay Fixes
Infant gameplay receives several fixes in this update.
One issue that could cause infants to pop out of their cribs has been addressed, helping make crib interactions more reliable.
The patch also fixes problems involving degree checks for Discover University Sims who are outside the active household.
Toddler Routing Improvements
Toddlers should have fewer problems when interacting with books. The update addresses routing issues that could occur when toddlers were reading, helping them reach and interact with the appropriate objects more reliably.
Serenade Interaction Cooldown
A new cooldown for serenade interactions has also been introduced.
This change helps prevent the interaction from being used repeatedly without an appropriate delay.
Crash and Stability Fixes
The patch includes several technical improvements intended to reduce crashes and rendering-related problems.
