SimU: Academic Life by midnitetech is a comprehensive higher-education mod for The Sims 4 that gives Sims a more structured and flexible academic experience. The mod introduces 13 custom degree programs, each with six modules containing coursework and assignments. Sims can progress at their own pace without traditional deadlines, with dedicated study activities and the possibility of earning honors for strong academic performance.

The mod also adds a custom Academic Skill, study groups, rabbit-hole academic activities, textbooks, coursework notebooks, and career benefits connected to degree results. Sims who develop their Academic Aptitude can eventually unlock a related career. Players can also pay a one-time registration fee to access tools for learning skills without enrolling in a full degree program.

For additional education options, Sims who leave high school can pursue a GED online, giving teen Sims an alternative way to continue their education when High School Years is available. The current version also includes a final exam system and an option to check exam results through a computer.
