After installation, the first use of the mod will generate a settings file in your Sims 4 folder. In this file, you can define:
- year_start: the starting year for your timeline (default is 0).
- year_days: how many in-game Sim days equal one year (default is 7, but you can use whole numbers or decimals like 3.5).
- Once these are set, the mod automatically tracks time as your household plays through the days. You can change or view these values anytime using console commands.
The main commands include:
- reve.year: displays the current in-game year based on your settings.
- reve.year_info: shows total days passed, the year start, year length, and current year.
- reve.year_start [number]: sets or displays the starting year.
- reve.year_days [number]: sets or displays the number of Sim days per year.
- reve.year_help: lists all commands for quick reference.
This mod doesn’t interfere with aging or life stages—it simply overlays a timekeeping system, making it perfect for players running legacies, historical saves, or multi-generational stories who want a sense of chronology.
It’s base game compatible, easy to customize, and works well alongside other aging or time-based mods. Just make sure script mods are enabled in your game settings.
