The Filmmaker Career is a rabbit‑hole career mod that transforms your Sim into a movie or TV director—featuring two career branches: Director and Actor. It enables both roles in one mod, offering depth and replayable progression for Sims seeking fame or creative fulfillment.

Career Structure
Your Sim begins in an entry-level role (e.g., Film Student or Background Extra), progressing through technical and creative stages:

Actor Branch levels include: Personal Assistant → Guest Actor → Supporting Actor → Lead Actor → Superstar Actor.

Director Branch levels include: Production Assistant → Footage Editor → Script Writer → Assistant Director → Distinguished Director.

Teen Sims can begin this career early, giving them a head start before adulthood.

Gameplay & Mechanics
  • Get Together expansion is required (primarily for the dancing skill), making it more accessible if you don't own Get Famous.
  • The career relies on the Neia Careers Commons framework—included in the mod download—so ensure it’s correctly installed.
  • Sims perform internal tasks (e.g., acting or editing videos) and contribute skills like Charisma (Acting branch) and Writing or Media Production (Director branch).
Sims with a Drama degree can start at a higher promotion level automatically.
