TS2 Turn‑Ons

The TS2 Turn-Ons mod by tyjokr is a custom attraction system for The Sims 4, inspired by the classic chemistry mechanics from The Sims 2. It reworks the existing attraction categories and adds depth to how Sims develop romantic interest in one another, based on detailed preferences.

KEY FEATURES:

Expanded Attraction Categories

Instead of just choosing hair or clothing colors, Sims can now be attracted to categories like Plant Sims, Service Sims, Bad Reputation, or Occult types. The mod also introduces broader themes like body features and outfit types.

Improved Sorting & Icons

Includes better-sorted menu labels and custom icons that fit the game’s visual style. Offers an optional “Better Sorting” patch for cleaner CAS menus.

Extra Attractiveness Options

Adds new Turn-Ons such as fame level, reputation, and lifestyle types, allowing Sims to be drawn to personality traits, social status, and more.

Works with Other Mods

Compatible with mods like Wonderful Whims and Wicked Whims. It plays well with any other mods that tweak Turn-On systems or attraction mechanics. 

HOW IT WORKS IN THE GAME

In CAS: You assign Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs that define what your Sim finds attractive.

In Gameplay: These preferences influence initial romantic chemistry. For example, a match in Turn-Ons provides a strong boost to attraction, while a Turn-Off can significantly hinder it.

WHY PLAYERS LOVE IT

Deeper Romantic Gameplay: Adds more meaning to relationships by tying them to actual attraction preferences, rather than random chance or scripted behavior.

Nostalgic Feel: Faithfully brings back a fan-favorite system from The Sims 2.

TWO VERSIONS AVAILABLE:

1. Override Version: Replaces EA’s default Turn-On system.
2. Standalone Version: Works alongside EA’s system but requires Zerbu’s Custom Preferences Mod.
