The Sims 4’s February 25th base game update introduces key features ahead of the Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack (March 6). The Unit Outlines feature in Build Mode is included but will be removed later if the pack isn’t owned.

Major Additions:

• Burglar Returns: Burglars can now rob homes and small businesses, triggering police responses if alarms are installed. A new Heist Havoc lot challenge increases burglar activity.
• Tattoo Customization: New sliders for hue, saturation, opacity, and brightness, plus improved filtering. The Gallery also now has a Tattoos category.
• New Build & CAS Content: More countertop colors, Sims’ 25th Birthday apparel, and new Creator Kits coming in April (Syboulette’s Sleek Bathroom and aharris00britney’s Sweet Allure).
• Gameplay Enhancements: Expanded club activities, improved mentorship options, and clearer Sim location tracking when traveling.

Bug Fixes:

• Object placement near raised platforms is now smoother.
• Improved Sim pathing and interaction logic.
• Multiple Create-a-Sim, Build Mode, and gameplay fixes across expansions.
