Functional Household Items

Here are some functional household items for a more realistic gameplay!

Iron Board:

In order to iron, your Sim must have something to sew and it should be in their world or active inventory. To determine the correct ironing temperature, hover over the unironed clothes, and the description will indicate the fabric type. If it's a blend like cotton and silk, identify which fabric type has a higher percentage. Set the iron temperature accordingly, or your clothes may become burnt and unusable for the upcoming career. Burnt clothes can be thrown away or scavenged for parts and fabric. Well-ironed clothes can be worn or packed, adding to the fun motive and increasing Logic.

Cutting Table:

You will need Fabric Cutting Scissors and a Textile Book in either your Sim's inventory or the world. There are two interactions available: "Study Fabrics/Textiles" and "Practice Cutting." Both interactions provide fun, improve the sewing skill, and increase Logic. Make sure the table's center is clear of any objects before engaging in these activities, and a random fabric will appear for your Sim to cut.

Mini-Steamer:

Ensure your Sim stands in the correct spot when selecting the steam interaction. Before steaming, your Sim should sew something. There's no wrong way to steam, so no risk of burning clothes. The interaction adds fun, enhances Sewing Skill, and increases Logic. Steamed clothes have the same interactions as ironed ones.

Sewing Supplies Restocker:

Purchase fabric, zippers, buttons, thread, and needles at a wholesale price by using the "Sewing Supplies Restocker" object, which can be found in build mode. This allows you to stock up on the necessary sewing materials for your Sim's crafting needs.
