Medic Career by MissyHissy is a full-time custom career mod for The Sims 4 that gives your Sim three medical paths to specialize in: Surgeon, General Practitioner (GP), and Psychiatrist. The first two levels of the career (Medical Assistant, Post-Graduate Medic) are common to all Sims who enter the field. After that, Sims choose one of the branches. Each branch has its own tasks, skill requirements, work hours, and promotion criteria. In addition to the usual duties like seeing patients, the mod includes tasks such as diagnosing conditions, performing surgery, mental health counselling, and offering general practice services. Uniforms are provided for all levels of the career.
The mod adds extra depth by requiring certain degrees for entry or for progression into some branches. For example, Sims need a Biology degree to join the Medic Career. To progress further into the Psychiatrist branch, a Psychology degree is needed. To reach higher levels in the Surgeon branch, a more distinguished Biology degree may be required. The mod also includes “work from home” assignments for many levels, allowing Sims to do some tasks remotely rather than always working at the hospital or clinic.
