The Genetic Counselor Career mod lets your Sims step into the role of genetic counseling professionals. Sims in this career help others understand inherited traits, analyze DNA or family health histories, assess risks of genetic conditions, and provide advice or support related to heredity. Along the way they complete career tasks like updating medical records, counseling patients, interpreting genetic data, and helping patients make informed decisions based on genetic information.

The career combines scientific knowledge and caring interpersonal relationships, requiring skills like Logic and Science (or equivalents) and involving both “on-site” tasks and work-from-home duties (such as record updating). The job path gives a meaningful blend of diagnostics, counseling, and patient care.
