Functional DIY Shelters

Part 2 introduces versatile shelter-building objects, including tarp covers in various shapes (square, left/right triangles), clothing-line dividers that double as dressers, and structural posts. These items can be used to assemble custom outdoor shelters.

Weather Response Interactions

When installed alongside Seasons, shelters let Sims autonomously seek protection when affected by extreme heat or cold. Nearby Sims gradually recenter temperature to normal, and wet Sims slowly dry off under the shelter.

Invisible Shelter Option

Added for ultimate design flexibility—this hidden shelter provides weather protection without visible structure. Great for subtle world-building or dramatic narrative scenes.

Dumpster Dive Integration

Most items in this set (as well as Part 1) can appear through dumpster diving, adding depth to scavenger-themed gameplay. It uses weighted categories to simulate random loot. This requires the Eco Lifestyle expansion.

Decor, Toys, and Pet Items

Decor Elements: Items like a flower in a can, pizza box, kids' homemade art, wall decals, and an interactive mouse trap with animated visual effects.

Toys for Storytelling: Includes a cardboard toy box, DIY Mr. Potato Head, and a quirky “Canny the Robot.”

Pet-Friendly Props: A pizza box feeder and Pine Coy toy, compatible with Cats & Dogs.

Functional Tools

A cleaning spray that repairs dumpster-dived objects for just $1 each—helpful for long-term rundown builds or salvage-driven gameplay.

Fireplace Features

Base Game–compatible bonfire items, including campfire-style grills and seating logs, are also part of the set—ideal for outdoor survival and communal storytelling scenes.
