LittleMsSam’s Spend Weekend With is a small but super handy The Sims 4 mod designed for family and story-driven gameplay. It gives parents (or guardians) the ability to send their kids or teens to spend time with another Sim household for a while, without having to fully move them out through Manage Worlds.
Here’s what it does:
Temporary Visits
Children or teens can be sent to another household for the weekend (or a chosen duration), mimicking things like sleepovers, custody arrangements, or family visits.
Gameplay Purpose
It adds realism for storytelling — for example, kids staying at grandma’s house, visiting divorced parents, or spending time with friends.
Autonomy While Away
The Sims who leave aren’t actually playable while they’re gone, but they’re considered to be staying at the other household until they return. It functions similarly to how kids go off-lot for school, just over a longer period.
Ease of Use
The interaction is available through the phone or social menu, and the system is lightweight, meaning it doesn’t overwhelm your game.
Family Play Immersion
It’s especially popular among players who focus on generational gameplay, as it makes family dynamics feel more natural and less rigid than the base game allows.
