If your pc is synced with OneDrive, your files are automatically saved and stored in OneDrive which can cause issues in The Sims 4.  It is recommended that you disable or unsync OneDrive to avoid such issues.  Here's how to do it:

1) Open OneDrive, download all the files in there that you need, save them somewhere safe. To do this, select the files or folders you want to download and click "Download".

If a pop up message appears prompting you to choose whether to "Save" or "Save as", just select "Save as" and choose the location on your local hard drive where you want it downloaded and saved (I recommend choosing this location: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 if those are your game user data such as saves, Tray, Mods folder, etc.).
2) Next, click on the "Backup" tab and uncheck all the boxes in there, then click on "Manage backup" and uncheck everything there as well.  Select OK to confirm changes and close.

3) Click OneDrive tray icon > More > Settings.  Under the "Account" tab, click "Unlink this PC", follow the prompts, and then click OK.

That's it! Your files will no longer sync with OneDrive! 😊😊😊
